Fairley Football

The cookout was a great success and we thank all of the players and parents that made it out.  Coach Slocum and the school guidance counselor gave a lot of great information about academics and scholarship requirements.  A very special thank you to the guest speaker, The Honorable Chris Craft, of the Shelby County Criminal Court.  He had some very shocking statistics and observations, but he also gave some very valuable advice on breaking the crime cycle in our neighborhoods.

Even youths grow tired and weary, And young men stumble and fall; But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not be faint.    Isaiah 40:30-31

You can now send “eCards” from the photo album (here).  This lets you e-mail a picture from the album along with your own personalized message.

You have to register, though.  Simply click on the “register” link in the photo album and fill out the form.  Once your registration is confirmed, you will be able to send eCards, vote for your favorite photos, and add/view comments.

There is a new photo gallery in the works.  We will be migrating all of last year’s photos to the new gallery before the season starts.  The new gallery is a lot more flexible and should make it easier for us to upload photos, which means more people will submit more pictures.  It should also be easier to download photos in case there is a picture you like and want to download it or post it on your MySpace or Facebook page.
