Monday, September 28th, 2009

Fairley enjoys a two game winning streak headed into their homecoming game with Oakhaven!  The Fairley defense shut down the Kirby running game most of the night.  Notable performances were made by:  Turtle, Bobby Spearman, Brandon Spearman, and Jeremy Ross.

On the offensive side of the ball, Derrick Murrell scored first with an interception returned 66 yards for a touchdown.  Marcus Holladay also scored a touchdown.  The most surprising score of the night was by the center, Korey Chestnut, who recovered a fumbled snap on the 3 yard line and took it in for the TD.  Derrick Murrell also scored on a 20 yard run with some nice moves to shake the defenders.  DeAndre Jackson and Antoine Walker had nice pass receptions.  Terrance Harris made some exceptional blocks.  Cecil Ingram was successful on two extra point kicks.
