Bulldogs Defeat Jaguars 21-0

The Bulldogs came out swinging on Thursday night.  The ground game was led by Artavius Gregory resulting in a 21-0 lead by Fairley at halftime.  The defense continued their dominance in the second half blanking Southwind’s offense.  Click here to see photos from the game.  With a final score of 21-0, the Bulldogs will focus on next weeks key game against Melrose.

Fairley Tops Kingsbury 27 – 22

(12) Fairley 27, Kingsbury 22: Jamarcus Hines’ 38-yard run in the fourth quarter propelled the Bulldogs to the come-from- behind Region 8-4A win. Kingsbury quarterback Randy Powell gave the Falcons a 22-21 lead earlier in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard TD run. Kingsbury’s Gabriel Hunter rushed for 96 yards. Fairley is 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the region, Kingsbury is 3-4 and 1-2.

Fairley Regains A Spot in Dandy Dozen

Fairley’s defeat of White Station last Friday resulted in their move back into the Dandy Dozen and White Station’s fall from the poll.  A great effort was given by the whole team with exceptional performances from several key players.  Martavius Neloms was recognized as the defensive football athlete of the week and #1Top Receiver in the area with 129 yards.  Devin Stark came in #6 Top Passer with 5-of-8 receptions for 176 yards.

Defense

MARTAVIUS NELOMS, Fairley defensive back: A 6-2, 180-pound senior, Neloms registered 12 tackles and had three interceptions for the Bulldogs in a 26-10 victory over White Station last Friday. Neloms’ play helped Fairley limit the Spartans to 192 total yards, as White Station failed to score in the second half. Neloms also added an 87-yard TD reception on offense.
