Fairley Beats East 8-6

Posted in History on September 16th, 2006 by Mark

The boys beat East tonight (8-6) for the first time since 1999. It was an exciting game with the defense playing the best that they have played all year. Jamarcus started at quarterback for the first time since breaking his collarbone in the preseason. He threw the ball well and Adrian caught every ball thrown his way. Justin Elliot and Bow Legs ran hard and did not turn the ball over. Jamarcus got Fairley’s only touchdown on a one yard quarterback sneak in the 2nd quarter and then he threw the two point conversion to Bobby Jones. Colby had a 48 yard touchdown pass called back on a penalty Fairley was able to get the ball down to East’s 10 yard line and 5 yard line but did not score. Anquan and DeAngelo both had interceptions.

The win has Fairley unbeaten in region play and tied with Melrose for number 1 in the region.

Have a great weekend.

Go Bulldogs!
